Albums as Books

Should traffic levels ever rise above the current void of visitors now frequenting the site, I may move to clean up the links sidebar, now all-but-unreadable. I have, however, added a new link (and not one of my blathering bylined pieces): the 33 1/3 blog, home to every snort and whistle relevant to Continuum's 33 1/3 series of books about albums.

Coming soon: the RFP for new titles in the series. Current best-sellers have a decidedly British bent, but I'm banking on a certain Floridian to help me crack the middle of the charts with my proposed entry.

No guarantees on popularity, though.Douglas Wolk's seemingly excellent James Brown Live at the Apollo drags the sales bottom (29 of 37). The Smiths top the charts.

And what would a series of albums be without a mix tape, er, book?
